BREAKING: Stay Away From Oyo State –Makinde Warns Criminals Elements, Hands Over 100 Brand New Patrol Vans To Amotekun
The Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde today handed over one hundred units of brand new patrol vans to the state Amotekun Corp warning criminally minded persons and elements to steer clear from the state as there would be no hiding place to hibernate.

This gesture according to the Governor was part of his administration’s unwavering commitment towards security of lives and properties of every resident of Oyo state and to further rekindle the confidence of investors in their faith in Oyo state as a safe destination for investment and business exploits.
It would be recalled that the Governor as part of his commitment to the full implementation of one of the four cardinal pillars of his administration; security, purchased one hundred unit of operational cars and security communication gadgets which were distributed to all the security agencies in the state in order to enhance security operations.
It would also be recalled that the Governor further procured another set of over two hundred operational motorcycles for the state Amotekun Corp upon official its official Inauguration which were distributed across all the wards in the entire 33 local governments for enhanced security operations.
Delivering his brief but decisive address today April 1, Governor Makinde CIG Motors, the official partner and its key role on the project. He also commended the state Amotekun under the leadership of Retired General Togun, who he said has made the state inhabitable for Criminals and criminal elements since the establishment of the security outfit.
Makinde also commended his finance Commissioner for what he described as ‘efficient financial engineering’ saying that Akinola Ojo, the Commissioner for Finance is the Oyo state financial engine room who has continued to make things appear like performing wonders with his prudent and finance management acumen.
“I want to thank the leadership of Amotekun Corp, the Chairman, Retired General Togun and also the Commandant, Retired Colonel Olayanju and the entire Amotekun operatives, you have indeed changed the security landscape of Oyo state. You’ve stayed through to your mandate and I want to thank you and also assure you of our continued support for Amotekun in Oyo state.” Makinde said.
The Governor in a clear term warned criminals and criminally minded persons to stay away from Oyo state or be ready to be seriously dealth with when cought, i was told that they will usually import criminal elements into Oyo state, well, now we have more security vehicles but that’s not all what we’re doing, we’re recruiting more security personnel and also upgrading communication structure.
“And we’re also equipping them so that can respond to you adequately. So, my advice is when you come to Oyo state with the intention to carry out any criminal activities, there’s nowhere to hide. We will get you, we will deal with you, and it would be your last operation.” Makinde added.
Commending some of the person who have continued to work closely with him to ensure the actualization of securing the security vehicles, Makinde specially commended his finance Commissioner for efficient financial management, all the Executive Chairmen from the 33 local governments, and CIG Motors for their dedication and commitment.
Makinde while commending the 33 local government Executive Chairman for their support and cooperation with the state government further reiterates his call for a restructured Nigeria saying the call for autonomous local government administration was not essentially the nation’s problem but a well restructured system that works and grows intergovernmental relationship.
