The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), under the leadership of its President, Aare (Asoju Odo) Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, heartily congratulates Aare Oladotun Hassan on his installation as the Sooko Agoriesin in Ile-Ife.
In a statement signed by Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, the Yoruba Youth Council described the chieftaincy title as a well-deserved honour bestowed upon a committed Yoruba leader whose contributions toward the promotion of Yoruba culture, unity, and development remain commendable.
According to the statement, the leadership of the Council received the news with great joy through reports published by The Sun Newspaper, noting that the development further affirms Aare Dotun Hassan’s unwavering dedication and service to the Yoruba race.
The revered Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, installed the President of the Yoruba Council Worldwide as the Sooko Agoriesin of Ile-Ife during a colourful traditional ceremony held at Wanikin House and the Ogbooru Amodo Ruling House over the weekend.
The Yoruba Youth Council noted that the honour is not only a recognition of Aare Dotun Hassan’s leadership qualities and commitment to humanity, but also a source of inspiration to Yoruba youths across the globe.
The Council prayed for more wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the newly installed Sooko Agoriesin as he continues to serve the Yoruba nation and humanity at large.
