Former lawmaker, council boss and Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Culture and Tourism, Honourable Akeem Ademola Ige, has greet, Governor Seyi Makinde, Deputy Governor, Barr. Raheem Bayo Lawal, Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Sheik Abd-Ganiy Agbotomokekere, Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Daud Akinola D’damak, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja (Deputy national chairman PDP south, Ilaji Resort Boss, Chief Dotun Sanusi, Mogaji Abd- Kareem Adanla and all the Muslims. Urged to use the Ramadan period to pray for the newly elected leaders at the just concluded general elections.
Ige said this in a message to felicitate the Muslim world on the commencement of the month-long fasting.
According to him, Ramadan is a period during which God accepts prayers and also a time for spiritual reflection and rebirth, sacrifice and kindness, as well as increased devotion and worship.
He said the commencement of Ramadan provided a unique opportunity for Muslims to pray for the Governor Seyi Makinde led government to succeed in his second term administration and to pray for other elected leaders in the country.
He particularly greets all the Muslims leaders in Oyo State both in government and Leaders of the Islamic groups.
May Almighty Allah accept the ongoing Ramadan as an act of Ibadah, Amin. He concluded.
