In a heartwarming celebration, female members of the Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA), along with the Commissioner for Women Affairs and esteemed dignitaries, come together to celebrate the exceptional academic achievement of Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige’s daughter.


Nuriyah Akanke Ige, the daughter of the former Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, has graduated with First-Class Honours in Microbiology from Kola Daisi University.


During the convocation ceremony, Miss Ige not only emerged as the overall best female graduating student in the 2023 academic session but also garnered several awards, including those presented by Chief Kola Daisi CON and Prof. Oladapo Afolabi.


Her academic excellence was recognized even earlier, as she received a scholarship from the institution during her 300 level for her outstanding performance and exemplary conduct in both academics and character.
The female lawmakers of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Funke Comforter and Hon. Bisi Oluranti, extend their heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, highlighting Nuriyah’s educational feat as a motivation for young girls to be determined and work diligently in their educational pursuits.


The convocation ceremony, attended by Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion Mrs. Toyin Balogun, witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Hon. Yinka Omikunle, Hon.
