Al-Qalam Schools, Ibadan, marked a significant milestone on Saturday, August 2, 2025, as it held its 16th Graduation, Walimat-ul-Qur’an, Prize, and Award Giving Ceremony under the theme “The Radiant Path.” The grand event celebrated a fusion of academic excellence, Islamic education, and moral development.
The ceremony brought together scholars, parents, educators, and well-wishers in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere of gratitude and celebration.
Professor AbdulBashir Odufuwa delivered a powerful keynote, redefining success as living by the dictates of Allah with integrity and compassion. Dr. Oyekolade Sodiq Oyesanya emphasized the balance of faith and knowledge in a lecture on Knowledge, Faith, and Ultimate Success. Alhaji Imam AbdulGaniy Otun of Ologuneru Muslim Community gave a soul-touching admonition during the Walimat-ul-Qur’an, encouraging continued pursuit of Islamic knowledge.
Ahead of the graduation, a 3-day Valedictory Lecture Series (July 30 – August 1) featured top Islamic scholars: Prof. Taofeek Abdulazeez (University of Abuja), Dr. AbdulRahman Adesokan (Houston, USA), Prof. Zaid Aderolu (University of Lagos).
School Administrator, Mallam Abdulmumin Ajala, expressed gratitude to Allah and stakeholders while reaffirming Al-Qalam’s commitment to excellence.
The ceremony honoured outstanding students and staff: Nimotallahi Salahudeen – Alhaja Sidikat Aderolu Best Graduating Student Award (₦100,000), Hussain Naheem – Alhaji Abdulazeez Aderolu UTME Top Scorer Award (₦100,000), Halimah Kamardeen – Alhaji AbdulFatai Ajayi Qur’an Excellence Scholarship (₦75,000).
Long Service and Outstanding Teacher Awards were presented to Mrs. Tajudeen Aminat, Mr. Seleem Raheem, and Mr. Hassan Sulaimon.
Hajia Rukayat Abimbola Otun, Director of Academics, praised staff performance and affirmed the school’s commitment to continuous development and academic distinction.
As the 16th graduation concludes, Al-Qalam Schools, Ibadan, stands firm in its mission to nurture morally upright, academically excellent students prepared to impact the world.
