Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Oyo State have been urged to rally behind distinguished lawmaker and progressive stalwart, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, as the movement for a stronger and more united party continues to gather momentum ahead of the future political direction of the state.
In an open epistle addressed to party leaders, elders, stakeholders, youths, women, and faithful members of the APC across Oyo State, Asiwaju Babatunde Yusuff of IBNE Ward 07, Oja’gbo Ibadan, declared that the time has come for party members to make a deliberate choice rooted in experience, competence, loyalty, and proven leadership.
According to the statement, the growing call of “OyoMustAlly” is not merely a political slogan but a reflection of the confidence many progressives have in the leadership capacity of Senator Sharafadeen Alli, whose political journey has been marked by dedication to service, party loyalty, humility, and commitment to the development of Oyo State.
The statement emphasized that Senator Alli has consistently remained steadfast with the progressive family through both challenging and victorious moments, while also maintaining strong relationships with party structures and grassroots communities across the state.
It further noted that his record as a Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District continues to demonstrate quality representation and unwavering commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the people.
The epistle stressed that the future of Oyo State requires a leader who possesses the experience to unite the party, the wisdom to govern effectively, and the vision necessary to reposition the state for sustainable growth and prosperity.
The statement also described Senator Alli as a leader whose influence cuts across political, religious, and ethnic divides, adding that his leadership qualities and understanding of the diverse interests within Oyo State place him in a strategic position to lead the state toward greater development.
Party faithful were therefore encouraged to strengthen unity within the APC and become ambassadors of the OyoMustAlly movement across wards, local governments, and communities throughout the state.
The statement concluded with a call for collective commitment toward building a stronger progressive movement capable of shaping the future of Oyo State and sustaining the ideals of progressive governance.
