Olayinkz Model International College marked a significant milestone with the successful hosting of its inaugural Inter-House Sports competition on Thursday, April 4th, 2024. The event, held at the main bowl of Urban Day Community High School, Olaogun, Old Ife Road, Ibadan, witnessed an impressive display of athleticism and sportsmanship from students representing different houses.
The Salami’s blue house emerged first at the Sports Heat with 40 points with Prophet Okesanjo Peter Abolade of Green House and Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, of Pink House securing the first and second overall positions, respectively. The competitive spirit was palpable as Mrs. Oyebowale’s of Yellow House and Salami’s of Blue House closely followed, both securing third place with equal points.
Addressing the attendees, Pastor Oladejo Olayinka, the Proprietor of Olayinkz Schools, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation in the event. He announced a scholarship opportunity for a founding student from JS1 to SS3, as well as the school’s commitment to covering WAEC fees for the deserving student.
“I am deeply grateful for the mercy of Almighty God, which has facilitated the rapid development of our school,” remarked Pastor Olayinka. He also shared exciting news about the school’s recent acquisition of a permanent site and the forthcoming addition of a school bus, as featured in a launched magazine during the event.
Acknowledging the collective effort behind the success of the Inter-House Sports competition, Pastor Olayinka extended his appreciation to his wife and co-proprietress, Mrs. Oladejo Modupe, the Board of Trustees, including Alhaji Ajibola Salami of Boston, USA, Mr. Adeleke Oluwamayowa, Adewumi Kolawole, Mr. Odetunde Amos, the Management Team, House masters and mistresses, and the entire teaching staff.
“Your unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in our achievements,” Pastor Olayinka stated. “Thank you for your commitment to excellence and for always lending a helping hand. Your contributions are deeply appreciated and valued, he concluded.”
The first edition of the Olayinkz Schools Inter-House Sports competition was a resounding success, showcasing the school’s commitment to holistic education and the development of well-rounded individuals through sports and extracurricular activities.
