His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja ( Arusa1) has called on all societies, Clubs and other social groups to embark on developmental projects to improve the economic well being of the people rather than concentrating on only social activities
The Clarion call was contained in the press release issued and signed by his Chief Press Secretary , Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga on Thursday
The call was made during the solidarity visits made by the members of Oluyole Social Elite Ibadan at the Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan
Oba Ladoja disclosed that it’s only God that enthrones Olubadan of Ibadanland not by political power, might or riches, adding that he would continue to appreciate God for sparing his life to be enthroned as Olubadan of Ibadanland
The paramount ruler requested for the prayers of all and Sundry to be endowed with wisdom ,happiness, mercy, sound health and longevity of life in the service of God and humanity
“As your servant, I will do all in my power to ensure unity, peaceful co – existence, progress and above all securing the creation of Ibadan State
According to the monarch, if we want to have the modern Ibadanland of our dream,all hands must be on deck both within and in the diaspora
In his speech, the president of Oluyole Social Elite Ibadan Builder Simeon Oludele Solademi disclosed that the Elite was formed 55 years ago and is being celebrated this week
The programs lined up for the 3_ day Anniversary Celebration include solidarity visit to Olubadan of Ibadanland in his palace to receive royal blessings, Thanksgiving services at church and mosque, visits to motherless homes, lecture while the grand finale takes place at Ibadan House,Oke Aremo, Ibadan on Saturday.
Dignitaries that joined Olubadan at the courtesy visit included Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland,Oba Abiodun Kola Daisi, President General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII ) Barr. Niyi Ajeniyi Ajewole among others.
