The President of the Yoruba Youth Council (YYC) and Mogaji of Ifatayo-Alawode Descendants of Ibadanland, Chief Rahmon Akintunde Alawode, has celebrated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA I, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.
Mogaji Alawode, in his birthday message, described Oba Ladoja as “my Royal Father and my Hero,” acknowledging his exemplary leadership, wisdom and enduring contributions to the development and unity of Ibadanland.
He said the reign of Oba Ladoja has brought a renewed sense of greatness, dignity and sanity to the revered traditional institution of Ibadanland, adding that the monarch’s wealth of experience and commitment to the cultural heritage of the ancient city have continued to inspire the younger generation.
According to Mogaji Alawode, “Kabiyesi is not only a father to many of us, but also a symbol of wisdom, dignity and responsible leadership. His reign has continued to birth greatness and restore sanity to our revered traditional institution.”
He further expressed gratitude to God for the life of the monarch and prayed for many more years of good health, wisdom, prosperity and fulfilment.
“On this special occasion of your 82nd birthday, my Royal Father and my Hero, I pray that Almighty God will continue to preserve Your Imperial Majesty, strengthen you with sound health, grant you longevity and bless you with prosperity and peace. May you continue to reign with wisdom and leave lasting legacies for generations yet unborn,” he said.
Mogaji Alawode also extended his warm birthday greetings to the Olubadan’s family, the Olubadan-in-Council, traditional chiefs and the entire people of Ibadanland.
