Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Monday, laid before the Oyo State House of Assembly a 2026 budget estimate totalling ₦891,985,074,480.79.
The fiscal plan, tagged “The Budget of Economic Expansion”, outlines the administration’s commitment to consolidating the gains of the 2025 budget while driving accelerated growth across key sectors of the state.
The Governor emphasized that the new budget is designed to strengthen infrastructural development, enhance economic productivity, and improve the quality of life for residents of Oyo State. He assured that the proposal aligns with his administration’s strategic framework aimed at sustaining ongoing projects and initiating new ones that will stimulate broader economic opportunities.
The 2026 budget presentation marks another milestone in Governor Makinde’s governance approach, which prioritizes transparency, accountability, and people-centered development.
