Makinde Is An Elixir for Productivity: His Three Years of Economic Integration and Expansion is Significant || Deji Ola

The good people of Oyo state in spite of victimization and high level emotional manipulation from the past APC-led administration, summoned the courage to vote for a man whose major priority is effective, efficient and good government with human faces.
On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, Engr. Seyi Makinde took the oath of office and allegiance as the Executive Governor of Oyo State- The pacesetter state.
Ever since then, he has successfully proven to be a man of his words who is totally ready for the task and not an accidental leader- this is evident in the rate of transformation that we are presently witnessing in the state.
The assets and liabilities of the state were both earnest and channeled towards repositioning the state to its deserving status. As we all know, the “Ajisebioyo la’nri” mantra will always trigger a true son of the soil to always dare for more, hence the reason for his passion for winning.
It is however pertinent to critique his four cardinal points agenda and how he has been able to dispense these to the nooks and crannies of Oyo state under the mantra called *Omituntun*.
I am not unaware that if you think GSM, what always comes to your mind is his problems-solving manifesto tagged: *Oyo State Road Map for Accelerated Development (2019-2023).*
This agenda has Education, Security, Health and Economy as it’s major cardinals with special focus on infrastructure, employment, agriculture and sports development.
As an apostle of good governance, I have carefully studied His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde and I discovered that he is working all round the clock in order to fulfill his promises to the good people of Oyo state.
We are all aware of his efforts to ensure that Oyo state transforms to the hub of agricultural development and agro processing angle in Nigeria;
Some drastic steps which has been taking and yielding positive results includes, Agricbusiness training which has primary focus on Oyo state youths, road networking which is also one of his top priority has received great attention to ease easy transportation of farm produces from rural environment to urban for commercial activities.
Akufo, Eruwa farm settlement have received immense attention to increase its productivity, mitigate against farmers migration to urban areas to find greener pastures while also promoting agriculture amongst the youths.
Good enough, the light up Oyo state initiative has come to stay.
I once affirmed that, Governor Seyi Makinde believes that, in order to make the state a hub of investment destination, there must be special focus on security, good road network, working health system, healthy economy policies, equal opportunity and perfect human relationship. May I emphasize that, he is working the talk as evident in the rate of successes recorded on our primary health system, Security architecture (code named Amotekun), road construction, Adamasingba sports complex, bus terminals and ultramodern markets.
In 2019, Governor Seyi Makinde, given the opportunity to govern Oyo state, he promised to scrap 3000 educational levy for public schools, sole ownership of LAUTECH, one health centre per ward, good welfare system for civil servants, bus terminals, good roads, all inclusive governance etc. Today, he has fulfilled virtually all these promises with landslide applaud.
His decision to aggressively follow up with economic expansion and integration, sports development, employment opportunities, empowerment, youths and women inclusion in governance can never be over-emphasized. Yoruba people will say: “a’rise, la’rika”.
Apparently, today marks, three years of productivity, media liberation, economic expansion, timely salary payment, appropriate workers welfare, pensioners welfare, agricbusiness, sports development, and total respect for ethics, value, and cultural heritage in our pace setter state.
With this great feat, I have come to realize that: “in order to have a working system, we all desire a working mind with sincerity of purpose to pilot the affairs of a state” And all these I see in GSM.
Long live Oyo state, long live Nigeria.
