A chieftain of the Accord Party, Prince Ibrahim Oloyede Asawale Asanike, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ibadan South East Local Government Constituency I seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a formal declaration made available to newsmen, Prince Asanike confirmed that he has picked his expression of interest form under the platform of Accord (A), signaling the commencement of his political ambition to represent the people of Ibadan South East Constituency I.
According to him, the decision to vie for the legislative seat followed extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including elders, youths, women, and community leaders across the constituency. He noted that the move was inspired by the need to provide stronger representation, purposeful leadership, and practical solutions to pressing community challenges.
“I have listened to the hopes, challenges, and aspirations of our people, and I am convinced that Ibadan South East Constituency I deserves better representation and responsive leadership,” he stated.
Prince Asanike described the constituency as one endowed with hardworking citizens, vibrant youths, rich agricultural potential, and a strong cultural heritage. However, he emphasized that significant gaps remain in critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, and economic development.
He further stressed that his aspiration is rooted in service rather than personal ambition, pledging to deploy his experience, ideas, and commitment towards advancing the collective interests of the constituency.
“If given the mandate, I will serve as a strong voice for our people, a bridge between government and the grassroots, and a servant leader dedicated to transparency, unity, and sustainable development,” he assured.
The aspirant added that he would continue engaging residents across all wards in the coming weeks to further consult, share his vision, and build inclusive support for his candidacy.
He called on constituents to support his ambition, while seeking their prayers and guidance as he embarks on the journey towards the 2027 elections.
Prince Asanike concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the growth and development of Ibadan South East Local Government, Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
