Renowned Ibadan-born On-Air Personality (OAP), cultural advocate, and grassroots mobilizer, Ibikunle Samuel Arugboboisi, has officially been inaugurated as the Director of Tradition and Culture for the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW).
His appointment was formalized during the 7th Edition of the World Omoluabi Festival, held at the prestigious Cultural Center, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The festival also featured the inauguration of the new National Executive Members of the Council.
The ceremony was presided over by the Global President of the Yoruba Council Worldwide, Aare (Oba) Oladotun Hassan, who charged all newly appointed officers to be torchbearers of Yoruba culture, tradition, and youth development across Yorubaland and the diaspora.
Ibikunle Arugboboisi, currently one of the leading broadcasters at Fresh FM Nigeria and Director of Programs at Tiwa Ń Tiwa Radio in Ibadan, is widely celebrated for his deep-rooted cultural insights and engaging media presence. He brings a wealth of experience and passion to his new role. As Director of Tradition and Culture, he is expected to play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting the Yoruba heritage, language, and indigenous knowledge systems.
Also inaugurated was the newly appointed National Coordinator of YCYW, Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, alongside other executive members tasked with redefining the cultural and leadership landscape of Yoruba youth.
This appointment further solidifies Arugboboisi’s reputation as a cultural voice and a champion of Yoruba values in the media space and beyond.
