Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Chairman of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, has been honored with the title of Grand Patron by the Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT), marking the first time this honor has been bestowed. NUT Chairman Alhaji Oyetunde Rasheed highlighted Chief Sanusi’s exceptional contributions, emphasizing his leadership and vision.
Alhaji Waheed Adorode Ekun, PDP leader in Ona-Ara, praised Chief Sanusi for the unprecedented support he has received from various groups urging him to run for the Oyo State governorship in 2027.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Sanusi expressed gratitude to the NUT and underscored his commitment to improving the lives of the less privileged. He acknowledged the public’s call for him to serve but stated any decision regarding his political future would be made by the people. He clarified that he is not currently affiliated with any political party but remains an active voter.
Chief Sanusi concluded, “If becoming governor would allow me to better serve the people, I would embrace the role, but if it would hinder my ability to help others, I would pray for divine intervention. Amunidara, Aadara fun wa,” meaning, “May we achieve greatness, and may it be good for us all.”
