The Chief Imam of Ibadanland and Grand Imam of Oyo State, His Eminence, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, has expressed profound joy and admiration over the installation of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi as Okanlomo Oodua by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.
In a statement issued by the Personal Assistant to the Chief Imam, Alfa Sulaimon Idris, His Eminence conveyed a special prayer for Chief Sanusi, describing the honour as a divine elevation and a call to greater service to humanity.
The Chief Imam prayed that Almighty Allah strengthen Chief Sanusi with wisdom, protection, and guidance as he undertakes this significant role within Yorubaland and beyond. He emphasized that leadership is a trust and prayed for continuous divine support in fulfilling all responsibilities tied to this prestigious title.
He reinforced his supplication with a verse from the Holy Qur’an, invoking Allah’s blessings upon all who strive in the path of goodness and community upliftment.
His Eminence concluded by congratulating Chief Sanusi and wishing him a prosperous and impactful reign as Okanlomo Oodua.
