As the selection of the new Alaafin of Oyo has been a talk of the town and has caused division within the Oyo Kingmakers (Oyomesi). A strong message as advice as been penned down and sent to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to consult Oracle as guidance for the selection of new Alaafin.

The message reads: I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you as a concerned citizen of Oyo State, and my purpose is to offer a suggestion that I believe is of utmost importance for the well-being of our great state and its people.
As you are well aware, the selection of the Alaafin of Oyo is a matter of immense cultural and historical significance for the Yoruba people. The Alaafin is not just a traditional ruler; he embodies the rich heritage, values, and traditions of our people. His role extends beyond symbolic significance; he plays a crucial part in the unity and development of our state and its diverse communities.
Given the gravity of this decision, I humbly urge you to consider a comprehensive and inclusive approach to the selection process. It is my belief that consulting the Oracle and engaging with all necessary stakeholders is imperative in ensuring that the chosen Alaafin is the right leader for our time.
Consulting the Oracle, as our ancestors have done for generations, can provide valuable insights and guidance. While modern governance and decision-making processes are important, acknowledging our cultural roots and traditions can foster unity and respect among our people.
Furthermore, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including traditional leaders, community representatives, scholars, and the general populace, will help ensure that the selection process is transparent and representative of the collective will of our people.
In conclusion, I implore you to approach this decision with the utmost care and reverence for our culture and heritage. By consulting the Oracle and involving all necessary stakeholders, you can help secure a bright and harmonious future for Oyo State and its people.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I trust that you will consider my suggestion in the best interest of our beloved state.
Yours sincerely,
