A man, identified has, Oluwatoyin Idris Tiamiyu has accused the Ijebu East Local government area of Ogun State Chairman, Wale Adedayo popularly known as ” Babalawo” of refusing to release the Tricycle prize won during All Progressives Congress ( APC) raffle draw during the governorship campaign earlier this year.
The draw was conducted by the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun at the campaign ground in Ogbere.
He said when he approached the Chairman for his prize, he allegedly demanded for N500,000 ( five hundred thousand naira) from him.
Tiamiyu added that the Chairman gave directive to the Police division in the area where the Tricycle was kept not to release it to him.
He said ” When I went to his local government to pick up the Tricycle that I won, he ( Adedayo ) asked me to pay him 500k which I refuse. He then told the Police station division where the tricycle was kept not to release it to me. All efforts to retrieve it from him proves abortive”.
Tiamiyu said ” He said he is going to sell it, my source told me. He has moved it from the local government to his personal house”.
Adedayo is currently at loggerheads with the state Governor over accusation that the State government has been diverting the LG Allocation.
