Today, we solemnly mark the 5th year since our beloved father, Comrade Akintola James Akinwale, departed from this earthly realm on 05/05/2019. Though the pain of his absence lingers, we find solace in the blessings that have filled the void left by his departure. We express our gratitude to Jesus Christ for His abundant grace and mercy during this time.
To our dear daddy, Comrade Akintola James Akinwale ‘JP’, affectionately known as Havana, we bid you farewell. Your memory lives on in our hearts, and we await the day of resurrection when we shall reunite and part no more. Sun re o.
Eldest Son – Akinyemi Nathaniel Akintola Akinwale
A day I wish never came, a day I wished wasn’t in the calendar. It was a black Sunday. It was the day the man (Baba Havana) I loved and respected most passed on.
Oh, death, how could you have come this early. Death came and stole my Lovely Father, Pathfinder, Counsellor, Mentor and Hero away from me. I thought heaven would fall down that day 05 : 05 : 2019.
I cried bitterly. Perhaps God can have mercy on me and restore him back, I cried because I know I can’t find any replacement of him again. I cried because of the love he had for us, I cried because he labored so much to raise us but it’s a pity you didn’t eat the fruit of your labour. AKIN.
You meant the world to me, Pa James. Your transition to the new abode left a void in us that no one can ever fill. I was with him some hours before he passed on, we talked extensively, he was talking in parables and when i was talking he put his hand under is jaw and looking at me, we relate in our usual way at home, after that we went to his office, we discussed a lot again. When he made any parables, I asked questions. He used style to answer me, but I don’t know, he was using parables to prepare my mind.
AH, Pa James (THE GREATEST THING I LOSS IN MY LIFE IS YOU), AJADI OPOMULERO, MAJA ALEKAN, YOU are A Father Indeed.
We sadly say goodbye to an Icon who brought joy to us as your children and entire family. I would have loved you to stay longer with us to see you enjoy the fruit of all your endeavours, but the decision of God is supreme. Pa James lived a life of Generosity, Kind, Heartedness, Dignity and Love.
You were a selfless giver who loved pleasing people more than yourself. A bold and fearless man who stood for the defenceless, needy, widows, fatherless, and the oppressed.
You always prefer to sacrifice your comfort for the welfare of others.
Your death has left me with a secret crying, anytime i need ur fatherly help. Glory be to God who is fulfilling His words upon us. Psalm 68:5, Psalm 82:3, Psalm 146:9. Isaiah 1:17.
You will forever live in our hearts. Pa James, as we remember you today and always, may the light of God brighten your path to eternal rest in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
