The Agbekoya Solidarity Movement of Nigeria has officially declared its support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This was contained in a press statement personally signed by the President of the movement, Alhaji Bankole Ahmed Olayiwola, following the group’s quarterly general meeting held in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to the statement, the leadership and members of the movement unanimously resolved to support the second-term aspiration of President Tinubu after extensive consultations and deliberations on the current political landscape and the direction of national development.
Alhaji Olayiwola disclosed that the Agbekoya Solidarity Movement currently has a membership strength of over 30,000 registered members spread across various states of the federation, adding that the movement remains committed to mobilizing grassroots support for the continuity of the present administration.
He noted that the decision of the group was also reached after thorough consultation with the Patron of the movement, the Okanlomo Oodua, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, whose leadership and guidance were described as instrumental in shaping the group’s political direction.
The movement emphasized that President Tinubu’s leadership has demonstrated commitment to economic reforms, national stability, and infrastructural development, which the group believes deserve continuity beyond the current tenure.
Alhaji Olayiwola further assured that the Agbekoya Solidarity Movement would intensify grassroots mobilization, political awareness campaigns, and strategic engagements across the country to ensure a successful outcome for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
He also called on Nigerians, particularly youths and members of socio-cultural groups, to support policies and leadership initiatives aimed at strengthening the nation’s democratic and economic progress.
