The group, with a membership strength of over 40 million spread across the 36 states of the federation, including the FCT, said it is an aberration for Nigeria which has a large youth population to be led by old men.
Addressing a media conference in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, the group bemoaned a situation where the youth are relegated to the background, while old men take decisions concerning the future which belongs to the young.

Appraising the capacity of Peller to lead the country, the coalition said the House of Representative member has proved his capacity with the leadership roles he has exhibited across the country, training young people through his organization and contributing towards ameliorating the pains of victims of violence across the northern region.
While expressing the preparedness of the coalition to approach the courts in order to compel Hon. Peller to run, the group expressed the confidence that the lawmaker has the capacity to rule Nigeria.
“Shina Peller is the preferred choice for the seat of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria since his victory at the poll will bring peace, unity and growth to Nigeria. We are ready to sacrifice our resources to fund his campaign through the crowd funding system that the youth will be creating for Shina Peller and managed by the coalition of the concern youth organizations,” the coalition said.
