AHEAD of the General elections, the Ona Ara Local Government Youths stakeholders under the auspices of “Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide YCYW Ona Ara Chapter, Association of Registered Social Youths Club ARSOYOC Ona Ara Chapter, Ona Ara Students Union OAU, Ona Ara Indigene Central Council OICC, ARTISANS Ona Ara Local Government, Man O’ Ward Ona Ara Command, Ona Ara Emergency Alert Groups has concluded arrangements for a debate where the House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senatorial candidates would be meeting the good people of the land in debating to showcase their readiness to represent the people’s interest.
Among stakeholders visited by the youths were The DPO of Ogbere police station, The chief imam of ONA ARA local Government, The local Government executives PCRC , CAN, The traditional council of the Local Government and LLVG .
Addressing Journalists on Sunday in Ibadan, the Chairman of the planning committee, Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon, who double as the coordinator of Ona Ara Emergency Alert and the Chairman, Oyo State Yoruba Youths Council noted that the initiative is geared towards ensuring that Ona Ara constituents are better informed on the economic and political policies of the legislative candidates and take informed decisions as they go to polls in February 25th and March 15th of 2023 . He also assured every citizens in ONA-ARA of total security as every security personnel in the Local Government has been duly informed and will be on ground to take charge .
The planning committee Secretary, Oluwemimo Solomon Oyinlola who disclosed that, there’s going to be a communique in rating the participants after the debate to control the kind of the constituents in guiding them towards the general poll would be made known publicly before the elections.
According to him, the debate will be anchored by Mr. Samuel Ibikunle popularly known as Arugboboisi of FRESH FM Radio.
This event that is expected to be hosted by the Executive of Ona Ara Local Government, Alhaji Musibau Sanusi will be chaired by Oba Adebowale Kamarudeen, Alhaji Kola Bolomope, and special prayer for the land to be coordinated by: Chief Imam of Ona Ara, President, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Ona Ara, and other major stakeholders on the Land.
