Ibadan Mega Voice, a coalition of esteemed media practitioners led by Aare Kola Olomide, has officially commenced its 3rd Anniversary celebration with a spiritually uplifting Jumat Service held today at Al-Maroof Oluyole Central Mosque, Sawmill, Ibadan.
The service was led by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Alhaji Qazeem Delesolu, who emphasized the need for truthfulness, fairness, and objectivity in media practice. He urged members of Ibadan Mega Voice to continue upholding professionalism and ethical journalism in their efforts to shape public opinion and promote societal growth.
The group, an affiliate of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), offered prayers of gratitude for three years of impactful media advocacy, culture promotion, and community engagement within Ibadanland.
As part of the week-long anniversary lineup, Ibadan Mega Voice has scheduled several key activities, including a Walk Against Drug Abuse, Youth Day/Talent Hunt, Free Medical Outreach at Ogunpa Market, Novelty Match, and a Grand Finale/Awards Night.
The Jumat Service marks the official kickoff of the celebration, reinforcing the group’s commitment to responsible journalism, community development, and the continuous projection of Ibadan’s rich cultural heritage.
