The family of the late Comrade Akintola James Akinwale held a posthumous birthday in his remembrance, pledging to keep his memory alive through his humanitarian services he does during his life time.
Chief Akinwale, who died on 5th of May, 2019 would have been 70 years today November 19th.
The family also revealed plans to visit the less privileged center to give food to the less privileged to celebrate their father’s posthumous birthday.
Speaking to Freshvoice Newsmedia, the first child of the late Akinwale, Mr. Akinyemi Nathaniel, said: “The family is celebrating his impactful life; he is being remembered with gratitude to God for a long, fruitful and prosperous life.
“There are great plans to carry on his humanitarian activities.”
The late Comrade Akintola James Akinwale was a retired Deputy General Secretary of National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW. at National Headquarters.
Late Comrade Akinwale had a very successful career that led to his retirement at the union in 2018.
In his sermon, Reverend Solomon Adelu, charged the children to desist from anything that can tarnish the good name their father left behind, he also admonish them that without love among them, there can’t be progress and he pray for the progress of the family.
