The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, His Eminence, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, who also serves as the Grand Imam of Oyo State and Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his recent gift of a Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep to all the Grand Chief Imams across the Southwest region.
In a statement signed by the Chief Imam’s Personal Assistant, Alfa Sulaimon Idris and made available to Freshvoice Newsmedia, the revered Islamic scholar described the gesture as a noble act of recognition for the spiritual leaders who have remained steadfast in their prayers and commitment to the peace, unity, and moral advancement of Nigeria.
“We sincerely appreciate our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for remembering and honoring the Grand Imams of the Southwest with this thoughtful gift. It is a testament to his deep respect for the Islamic faith and his desire to strengthen harmony among all religious communities,” Sheikh Agbotomokekere said.
The Chief Imam further offered prayers for President Tinubu’s continued wisdom, divine guidance, and strength to lead the country successfully through economic and social transformation.
He assured that the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States will remain committed to offering spiritual support and counsel for the sustenance of peace and the prosperity of the nation.
“Our prayers for President Tinubu and the Federal Republic of Nigeria remain unwavering. We shall continue to stand as spiritual pillars for the success of his administration and the well-being of our dear country,” the statement concluded.
