In an era where leadership is often misunderstood as a tool for personal elevation rather than collective service, Alawode Abdulramon stands as a beacon of humility, intellect, and purpose-driven leadership. His journey, both in politics and developmental advocacy, continues to inspire a new generation of Nigerian youths to dream bigger, act smarter, and lead with compassion.

Alawode is not merely a political figure, he is a movement. His influence extends far beyond the corridors of political appointment; it permeates into community development, youth mentorship, and strategic engagement aimed at securing a better tomorrow for Nigeria. He does not see himself as an emperor lording over the choices of others but rather as a servant-leader whose success is tied to the upliftment of those around him.

One of the most telling demonstrations of his character was his acceptance of the role as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the chairman of a local government. Where others might have arrogantly dismissed such an opportunity, blinded by ambition or titles, Alawode embraced the position with dignity and foresight. His acceptance was not driven by self-interest but by his belief in continuity, service, and the power of grassroots transformation.

He could have chosen to disregard the foundation laid by his predecessors—particularly their contributions to the Yoruba youth movement in Nigeria—but instead, he honoured their efforts, expanded their vision, and reignited their purpose. This reflects not weakness but strength—a strength born out of self-awareness, patriotism, and emotional intelligence.

Now serving as the National Coordinator for the National Yoruba Youth, Alawode has become a national symbol of youth empowerment and strategic engagement. His influence cuts across cultural and political boundaries. He is widely respected for his unwavering humility, his unbiased relationship with youths of diverse backgrounds, and his persistent advocacy for intellectual inclusion and empowerment.

Alawode is not just known for where he stands in times of comfort but for how he leads during moments that require wisdom, patience, and sacrifice. His role as the left hand—a trusted ally—of the highly revered and patriotic son of Ona Ara and Oyo State, popularly known as the “Ilaji Man,” further cements his place in the annals of visionary youth leadership in Nigeria.

However, as he continues to rise, I strongly encourage him to look beyond the present and build frameworks that will empower intellectually sound, innovative, and morally upright youths across every local government. These young minds must not be seen only as election tools but as the architects of Nigeria’s future. We need a consistent and deliberate cultivation of talent, ideology, and patriotism at the grassroots level.

As Alawode Abdulramon continues to lead with grace and strategic depth, may more political leaders, regardless of party affiliations, rise above self-interest and embrace individuals like him—those who truly seek national progress over personal gain.

In the timeless words of John Quincy Adams, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” Alawode Abdulramon embodies this ideal, and for the sake of Nigeria’s youth, his type of leadership must not only be supported—it must be multiplied.

At this juncture, I respectfully bow out, not in resignation, but in the hope that voices like mine—and leaders like Alawode—will inspire a collective rebirth for our dear nation.
