In a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition, the 2024 edition of Zumuratul Hujaj Community Grammar School Cultural Group’s Àṣà Day festival was graced by esteemed guests including the National Union of Teachers (NUT) Ona Ara Local Government Chairman, Mr. Adewale Azeez, the Secretary and Chairman of Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide (YCYW) Oyo State Council, Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon Akintunde.


The event featured an array of cultural activities such as traditional dancing, drama, chanting, Olopo game, and the Omidan contest. The Chief Host, Mr. Oyelude O.K, and the Host, Mr. Adio Olatunde, welcomed a gathering of distinguished guests and community members.
A highlight of the festival was the decoration of Madam Afolabi Aminat Yemisi Adeola as Iya Àṣà, symbolizing her significant role in promoting cultural heritage. Asoju Odo Alawode had the honor of presenting certificates to the best dancers from both the junior and senior schools. Omidan Oyediji Bose emerged as the winner for the senior school, while Omidan Oladejo Azeezat won for the junior school.

Mr. Adewale Azeez, Ona Ara NUT Chair, presented certificates to the winners of the Omidan Àṣà 2024 contest. Oladejo Alimot was certified for the senior school category, and Abdulsalam Mistura for the junior school category. Iya Àṣà, Madam Afolabi Aminat Yemisi, crowned Oladejo Alimot and Abdulsalam Mistura as the winners of the Omidan Àṣà contest for their respective categories.


In his speech, Mr. Adio Olatunde expressed his gratitude to the guests for their support and announced Ogbeni Agunbiade Gideon as Asoju Àṣà Okunrin 2024.
