The President of the Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, has felicitated with Oyo State’s former Governor, Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his historic coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland and on the occasion of his 81st birthday.
Aare Alawode described Oba Ladoja as a distinguished statesman and revered leader whose life reflects courage, selfless service, and unshakable commitment to the growth and progress of Ibadanland, Oyo State, and the Yoruba nation.
In his goodwill message, the Yoruba Youth Council President prayed for Kabiyesi’s long, peaceful, and prosperous reign, stressing that his wealth of experience in governance and leadership will continue to serve as a beacon of hope and guidance for the people.
“On behalf of Yoruba youths at home and in the diaspora, I heartily felicitate Kabiyesi, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his well-deserved coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, as well as on his 81st birthday. May the Almighty grant him wisdom, strength, and grace to steer Ibadanland to greater heights in this new phase of his service to humanity,” Aare Alawode stated.
He further urged Oba Ladoja to strengthen collaboration with other prominent Yoruba monarchs in promoting unity, peace, and progress across Yorubaland. According to him, unity among traditional rulers is crucial for preserving Yoruba cultural heritage and safeguarding the future of coming generations.
The Yoruba Youth Council also reaffirmed its loyalty to the stool of Olubadan under Oba Ladoja’s reign and pledged to continue promoting youth inclusiveness, cultural pride, and collective development across Yorubaland.
