The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), Ogun State Chapter, has applauded the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the successful commencement of operations at the newly established Gateway International Airport, Iperu-Ilishan, describing it as a historic milestone in the state’s infrastructural development.
In a statement signed by Asoju Odo Sunday Bankole, Coordinator of the Council, and Omoluabi Okulaja Kehinde Feyikemi, Assistant General Secretary, and made available to Freshvoice Newsmedia, the group commended Governor Abiodun’s visionary leadership, resilience, and commitment to the advancement of Ogun State.
According to the statement, “Today marks yet another historic milestone in the story of our dear Ogun State, as the maiden commercial flight takes off from the Gateway International Airport, Iperu-Ilishan. The successful commencement of commercial operations at this world-class aviation facility is a clear reflection of His Excellency’s dedication to transforming Ogun State into a model of progress and prosperity.”
The Yoruba Youth Council noted that the Gateway International Airport stands as a beacon of hope and symbol of growth, connecting Ogun State to the rest of Nigeria and the global community. The youth group emphasized that this groundbreaking achievement would open vast opportunities for trade, investment, tourism, and industrial expansion, thereby boosting the economic potential of the state.
