LAGOS – The 4th edition of the South-West Advancement Summit and Investment Awards, themed “Unlocking Investment Opportunities in the South-West States,” took place yesterday, 12th June 2024, at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, coinciding with Democracy Day.
Freshvoice Newsmedia reports that notable personalities such as Mr. Seyi Tinubu who was represented by the All Progressive Congress APC Lagos State Youth Leader, Comrade (Dr.) Seriki Muritala Isola, Ruben Abati, and Chief Executive Officer of Ovation Media, Dele Momodu, were honored at the event. Iyaniwura Oodua Agbaiye, Princess Ganiyat Morayo Alli, CEO of Akmodel Group, Dr. Abdulhakeem Odegade also received awards in recognition of their contributions to the advancement of the South-West region.
Other distinguished awardees included Amb. Dr. Mrs. Tobiloba Awosoga, Chief Executive Officer of Onile Onile Global Services. The Royal Father of the Day, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, was represented by HRH Oba Asoya, who commended the organizers for their efforts in uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds to foster regional development.
The event featured a captivating performance by Africa’s youngest chief, Adigun Olalekan (Adigun Olowe Yoruba), who impressed attendees with his skillful recitation and translation of Yoruba proverbs.
In her acceptance speech, Princess Ganiyat Morayo Alli expressed her gratitude to the organizers and thanked her supporters from Fiditi, Ibadan, and Oyo State for their unwavering support.
Other notable attendees included Alhaji Okalawon Kazeem, Mr. Badmus Olukayode, Chairman of the Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide (YCYW) Oyo State Council, Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon, Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) JCC Oyo Axis, and Comrade Rilwan Adegoke.
The summit and awards ceremony served as a platform to highlight and celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals and organizations dedicated to the growth and development of the South-West region.
