In a decisive move to address rising security concerns within the community, the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has overseen the installation of streetlights under the circular bridge linking Odeyale and Akanran Road.
A statement issued by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, revealed that the action was prompted by credible reports indicating heightened security threats around the area. The Chairman responded swiftly by improving visibility to ensure the safety of residents, motorists, and commuters, especially during nighttime hours.
Mr. Alawode further disclosed that, in addition to the lighting project, officers of the Nigeria Police Force from Akanran Division and personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been deployed to maintain a steady security presence along the circular road corridor.
He added that the initiative reflects the administration’s unwavering commitment to public safety, community well-being, and proactive governance.
Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS reaffirmed his determination to continue prioritizing the security and welfare of the people, assuring that more strategic interventions aimed at strengthening safety and enhancing infrastructure are already in progress.
