The coalition of all the socio-cultural youth groups, Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide YCYW Oyo State Council under the leadership of Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon Akintunde held this year’s annual Ramadan lecture yesterday 4th of April, 2023 at the ancient Mapo Hall Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
This year’s edition which is the 4th had Sheikh Khalifa Abdullahi Ajimotokan and Sheikh Khalifa Quazeem Akilapa as the guest lecturers with the topic “Envy (ILARA) and the role of youths in the community development” respectively.
While speaking, the first guest lecturer, Khalifa Abdullahi Ajimotokan admonished Muslim faithfuls to desist from envying each other and should always remember the purpose of creation and always strive towards entering Al Jannah. He also mentioned that Muslim faithfuls should make judicious use of this noble month of Ramadan to move close to Allah and seek forgiveness.
In his own message, Sheikh Khalifa Quazeem Akilapa explain vividly the stages and steps to be following as a youth to conquer the life in other to make impact to the development of the community. He lauded the Oyo State Youth Council under the leadership of Asoju Odo Alawode Adbulrahmon as they makes it a tradition to be holding this kind event annually. He prays for the Allah wisdom to continue guiding the leadership of the council.
Dignitaries at the lecture were the Labour Party Gubernatorial Candidate at the just concluded general elections, Honourable Muhammad Tawfiq Akinwale: the Grand Imam of Oyo State and Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Al Imam Abdulsalam Agbotomokekere who was ably represented by a member of the Chief Imam in council, Alh. Ismaheel Yusuf, Mogagi Ìta Maya, ALADIS: the host, Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, Hajj Abdul-Fatai Adewale Abdulazeez JP, the Sanmori Adinni of Oyo State, Mr. Oyeleke Kayode, the Managing Director, Bliss Farm Kitchen and Bar Ibadan, Ilaji Muslim Community and array of others.
In his own speech, Asoju Odo Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, the Chairman of the Yoruba Youths Council in the state thanks Almighty Allah for the successful event.
He noted, that greatest and biggest blessing we got was you, for coming to our annual Ramadan Lecture, Alawode appreciates the attendees
