Oyo Central: Senatorial aspirants write Makinde, reject Ilaka as consensus candidate
The People’s Democratic Party PDP, Oyo Central Senatorial aspirants, Hon. Festus Wale Adegoke and Comr. Wale Ajani have rejected a consensus Candidature of the former Chief of Staff to Governor, Chief Bisi Ilaka in Oyo Central Senatorial District by some party Leaders.

This was learnt through a letter directed to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, jointly signed by the duo Aspirants, the former House of Representatives Member, represented Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Festus Wale Adegoke and the former President, National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Comrade Wale Ajani and made available to Freshvoice Newsmedia.
The letter reads: “As a democrat sir, we believe you are aware that the basic principle of consensus is for all participating aspirant to agree with signatures, this we believe the stakeholders did not do.
“We hereby humbly appeal to you to allow democratic process to take place by allowing free and fair primary.
“We count on your suppport sir,” it added.
The state chairman, deputy national chairman and senatorial chairman of the party were copied in the letter.
