The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, has officially flagged off the construction of the Ona Ara Modern Registry and Multipurpose Hall, a landmark project designed to enhance the council’s infrastructural development and service delivery.
According to a press statement released yesterday, signed by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, and made available to newsmen, the project is being executed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement and is expected to be completed within the next seven months.
The event, which marked another milestone in Dr. Temitope Glorious’s administration, had in attendance the President of Ona Ara Development Forum (ODF), Alhaji Kola Bolomope other notable stakeholders, and dignitaries including the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on SDG Matters, Hon. Mufutau Olatunde Ogunremi, and the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ona Ara Local Government, Alhaji Kehinde Adeyemo.
In her welcome address, the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Alhaja Mujidat Ojewumi, recognized the presence of the Chairman’s first lady, Deaconess Oluwabunmi Kolapo JP among other Stakeholders, she commended Dr. Temitope Glorious’s visionary leadership and his relentless commitment to the development and transformation of Ona Ara Local Government.
Also speaking, the National President of the Nigerian Automobile Technician Association (NATA), Comrade S. O. Odewale, applauded Dr. Temitope Glorious for his humility, peaceful disposition, and effective dialogue skills. He revealed that the land being used for the construction was part of the land allocated to NATA by the Late Lam Adesina-led Oyo State Government, but through dialogue and understanding, Dr. Temitope Glorious secured their cooperation for the project’s use.
Other dignitaries present at the event included the Leader of House, Hon Abolade Femi Yerima, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babatunde Sunmonu; Chief of Staff, Hon. Isiaka Arinola; PDP Leader, Chief Waheed Ajao Aderodekun; Oba Qamarudeen Oniladuntan, Oniladuntan of Laduntan; Oba Obisesan Lagbedu, Alakanran of Akanranland, various Baales, Babaloja and Iyaloja, youth leaders, and security personnel.
The flag-off ceremony reinforces Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious’s commitment to delivering on the NEW ERA Agenda, focusing on infrastructural renewal, community welfare, and sustainable development in Ona Ara Local Government.
