The Leader of the Legislative Arm, Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Abolade Femi Yerima, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to Muslims across Oyo State and Nigeria on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha (Eid-el-Kabir).
In his goodwill message, Hon. Yerima congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, as well as Otunba Seye Famojuro and the entire Muslim Ummah for witnessing another season of sacrifice, gratitude, and spiritual reflection.
He described the Ileya Festival as a significant period that reminds the faithful of the virtues of obedience, faith, and charity, while also promoting peaceful coexistence among all religions and ethnicities.
“As we celebrate this sacred festival, I encourage all Muslims to uphold the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), and to continue to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of our dear Ona Ara Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large,” Hon. Yerima stated.
He also called for renewed commitment to communal harmony, social responsibility, and support for government efforts at all levels, especially under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Yerima wished all Muslim faithful a joyful and hitch-free celebration, praying that Allah accept all sacrifices and grant His endless blessings upon every home.
