Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youth Solidarity Forum (OIYSF) wishes to bring it to the notice of the public that one Comrade Olanrewaju Quadri was gruesomely murdered on June 23, 2023 at Iwere-ile, the headquarter of Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State by the officers of the Nigeria Customs & Excise Services.

To this end, there is urgent appeal to carry a thorough investigation on this unfortunate incidence so as to uncover what happened and with a view to purse justice and bring the culprits to book.
Therefore, we plead that the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Comptroller General of the
Nigeria Customs & Exercise, the Commissioner of Police of the Nigeria Police Command, Oyo State, the President of Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF), all Human Rights Organisations and men/women of the fourth realm of the estate should treat this matter with urgent despatch so as to bring the culprit to book with a view to forestall a repeat of such occurrence again in future time.
Before he met his untimely death, Comrade Olanrewaju Quadri was the bread-winner of his family. He was not a smuggler and, he was in his shop on this unfortunate day barbing hair for his customers. The death of this young man was/is a great loss to his immediate family members, especially his pregnant, the members of the extended family, the people of I were-ilé and all the people of all the border towns.
While we plead that the soul of this young promising indigene of Oyo State should wasted just like that, we like to say that the executives and members of OIYSF, the entire people of Oyo State, especially the indigenes of I were-ile and the border towns, are looking up to the government of Oyo State and all the institutions we mentioned above to do something urgently on this matter.
Our prayer is that God will grant everyone who has one role or the other to play on this matter the wisdom to deliver.
