The Pacesetters Group, the foremost political support body driving the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, FCA, CON, has taken its mobilisation campaign deep into the grassroots, engaging market leaders, community heads, and artisans in Ifo Local Government.
In a statement signed by its Director of Media & Publicity, Ogbeni Ajibode Abd’Kabir, the group confirmed that the latest mobilisation rally was held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, with leaders of Ijoko Market, Community Development Associations (CDAs), and artisans in Ososun Ward 8. All present pledged total commitment to working for the emergence of Senator Yayi, the current Ogun West Senator, Senate Committee on Appropriation Chairman, and Aremo of Yewaland.
Representing the State Chairman of the Pacesetters Group, Alhaji Adesanya Isiaq, Hon. Sunday Adebowale—who also coordinates the Yayi Project Monitoring Team in Ifo LG—explained that the meeting aimed to unite key grassroots stakeholders behind Senator Yayi’s ambition. He praised Yayi’s record of delivering democratic dividends through projects that directly touch the lives of ordinary citizens.
“If Senator Yayi has done this much as a senator, imagine the transformation he will bring as governor,” Adebowale said.
Hon. Adebowale and Chief Ganiyu Elefonde also commended Hon. Fola Salami, Member representing Ifo II at the Ogun State House of Assembly, for championing development in his constituency, including securing six transformers, ongoing police station construction at Oke Aro, borehole projects, and modern toilet facilities across six wards—all facilitated through Senator Yayi’s influence.
During the induction of new members, Ososun Ward 8 Coordinator Comrade Tijani Kudiratu, alongside political leaders such as Chief Elefonde and Alhaji Bayonle Lasis, reaffirmed confidence in Yayi’s people-focused leadership style. They urged unity and collective action to spread his message before, during, and after the 2027 elections.
Market and community leaders, including Chief Ramoni Idowu (Babaloja of Ijoko Market), Chief Mrs. Suwebat Lateefu (Iyaloja of Ijoko Market), Chief Alaraba (Otunba Babaloja), Chief Mrs. Amodu Kudiratu (Otun Iyaloja), Chief Mrs. M.A. Olaleye (Iyalaje), and Mr. Segun Salako (CDA Chairman), pledged full support for the Pacesetters’ mission.
Other notable Pacesetter leaders present included Alhaji Bayonle Lasis (Coordinator, Ifo LG), Eng. Bayo Odeyemi, Omoluabi Kabiru Fasasi, and Omoluabi Oluwadare, among others.
