The Nigeria Youngest Lawmaker, and Vice Chairman Oyo State House of Assembly Committee on Youth and Sports, Hon. Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi have congratulated the Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan popularly known as Oluyole Warriors for winning the NPFL pre-season tournament tagged the Dozy Mmobuosi Cup. 3SC defeated Enyimba FC of Aba 3- 2 to win the super four competition held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
In a statement issued through his Media aide Prince Tope Eluyefa, Hon. Adebisi said, “I congratulate the organisers for putting up a quality tournament where the winner is taking home N100 million, second placed team N75 million and the third-placed N50 million. This is quite remarkable and commendable and I am glad that we are beginning to get it right as far as the league is concerned in Nigeria”.
“This Super Four signifies what is expected in the league. I want to charge the team, Oluyole Warriors to do more to keep it up and also advised the organisers to kindly give the subsequent tournament a better coverage on T.V stations”.
Hon. Adebisi hailed the excellent performance of the Ibadan soccer lords in winning the final tie against Enyimba at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
Anthony Okachi’s 87th-minute goal gave the Oluyole Warriors the win as the team came back twice through goals by Malomo Taofeek and Kelly Kester’ to beat the People’s Elephants.
