The Mogaji of Adungbenimo Compound, Gbelekale, Ibadan, Alhaji Uthman Abiola Adungbenimo, has expressed heartfelt congratulations to former Oyo State Governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, on his recent nomination as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a goodwill message made available to the press, Mogaji Adungbenimo described the emergence of Oba Ladoja as a divinely ordained transition that signals the dawn of a great and purposeful reign in Ibadanland. He noted that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience in governance, his undying love for Ibadan, and his long-standing commitment to the traditional institution make him exceptionally suited to wear the crown of the Olubadan.
“On behalf of the Adungbenimo family and the entire people of Gbelekale, I congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, on his nomination as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. We see in his ascension the hand of destiny and the hope for an even greater Ibadan,” Alhaji Adungbenimo said.
He further stated that Oba Ladoja’s history as a bridge-builder, a statesman, and a patriot will reflect positively in his royal reign, ushering in an era of unity, progress, and cultural preservation for the Ibadan people.
While praying for a peaceful installation and a successful reign, Mogaji Adungbenimo urged all indigenes and lovers of Ibadanland to support the incoming monarch with loyalty and prayers.
