Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of a former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Saheed Akinade Fijabi, as the Chairman of the Oyo State at 50 Anniversary Committee.
The appointment, conveyed through a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, was announced on Monday.
According to the statement, the committee comprises eleven distinguished members, including the former Head of Service of Oyo State, Alhaja Ololade Agboola, who will serve as Deputy Chairman.
Other members are Dr. Z.O. Ajuwon (OON), Mustapha Razaq Areo, Alhaja Fatimah Ololade Azeez, S.A. Adejumo, Pastor John Olasunkanmi Alabi, Alhaji A.K. Bello, Mrs Ronke Adedayo (Secretary), COMPOL Fatai Owoseni (Rtd), and the Director-General of Protocol, Mr Samuel Adegboyega Badejo.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
