Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has momentarily suspended his re-election campaigns.

We reliably gathered that the Governor took this decision in solidarity with the general public and the economic hardship they currently face as a result of tough government policies.

Makinde noted that there was no point furthering his re-election campaign plans when the citizens of the State are experiencing a tough time; particularly as the welfare of the people stands as the foundation of his approach to governance.
