The Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Arole Ibà Oluyole, Chief Nureni Akanbi, the Association of Ibadan Mogajis led by Oloye Asimiyu Adepoju Ariori, and the Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji Yekini Abass Oladapo (popularly known as YK Abass), to honor the late Alhaji Abdulhammed Akanmu, father of Iyaloja (Alhaja) Saratu Aduke Konibaje.


The 8th-day Fidau prayer, held at the historic Mapo Hall, brought together distinguished guests and leaders from across Ibadanland and Oyo State.


The event was graced by the electrifying performance of Ibadan’s celebrated Fuji maestro, Alhaji Abbas Akande Obesere, the Paramount King of Fuji, who entertained the gathering with his signature artistry.


Also in attendance were the late Alhaji Abdulhammed Akanmu’s grandchildren, the renowned Copa Brothers, as well as Mogaji Abass Oloko, Mogaji Ademola Oladosu, the Executive Vice Chairman of Pacesetter Transport Services, Mogaji Nurudeen Akinade, Hon. Gbenga Ayinde Adewusi, Alhaji Kazeem Gbadamosi and several other notable personalities.
The Fidau was a solemn yet vibrant occasion, reflecting the revered legacy of the late Alhaji Abdulhammed Akanmu and the respect he commanded within the community.
