The Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Asoju Odo (Omoluabi) Alawode Rahmon Akintunde on his recent appointment as the National Coordinator of the Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide (YCYW).
In a statement personally signed by Chief Sanusi, he described the appointment as “a well-deserved honour bestowed upon a true Omoluabi whose passion, leadership qualities, and commitment to youth development have consistently distinguished him within and beyond the Yoruba sociocultural landscape.”
Chief Sanusi commended Alawode’s unwavering dedication to advancing the values, heritage, and aspirations of the Yoruba youth, describing him as a beacon of hope and a worthy representative of the emerging generation of responsible, proactive leaders.
“Your appointment as the National Coordinator of YCYW comes at a crucial time when visionary leadership is needed to steer the Yoruba youth towards unity, development, and cultural preservation. I have no doubt that you will discharge your duties with excellence, dignity, and a deep sense of responsibility,” the statement read.
Chief Sanusi reaffirmed his support for Alawode’s new national assignment and urged all Yoruba youth to rally around him in building a vibrant and purposeful youth movement that reflects the strength and pride of the Yoruba Nation.
