Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, extends warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah Year (Muharram) 1446.
In a statement released on Sunday evening, Chief Sanusi emphasized the significance of the Islamic New Year in the lives of Muslims and urged them to utilize the occasion, particularly during the sacred month of Al-Muharram and beyond, to offer special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Seyi Makinde and for the peace, unity, growth, and prosperity of Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria.
“As we enter this sacred period, let us reflect on the teachings of resilience, patience, and unity exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). These values are not only crucial for our spiritual well-being but also for fostering a harmonious and progressive society.
“In these challenging times globally, it is essential for us to unite as a community, supporting each other and promoting peace and mutual understanding.
“Let us take this New Year as an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to justice, equity, and the advancement of our nation.”
Chief Sanusi concluded by praying, “May Allah grant us the strength to overcome challenges and the wisdom to make decisions that benefit ourselves and our community.”
