As part of effort to foster cordial relationship and advance more opportunities for Oyo State residents, the Director-General of Oyo Liaison Offices, Abuja and Lagos, Hon Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Director, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Enya in Abuja.
According to the Director-General, the visit was aimed at solidifying the cordial working relationship that exists between the Ministry and the Liaison Office. His words:
“The purpose of today’s courtesy visit firstly is to appreciate the cordial working relationship between Oyo State and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We also discussed and highlighted various opportunities Oyo State residents can benefit from the Ministry and we want to make use of every opportunity that abounds there.
In his remarks, Ambassador Enya congratulated Hon Ezekiel Temitope OTOPE on his appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde as the Director-General Liaison Offices, Abuja and Lagos noting that his appointment is a round peg in a round hole.
Enya unequivocally declared that throughout the federation, it’s only Oyo and the Ministry that have the most cordial and resourceful relationship. His words
“It’s an honour to receive Hon Ezekiel Temitope the Director-General of Oyo Liaison Office, we congratulate you on your appointment. It was a well deserved one going through your professional background.
“I commend the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for creating an enabling environment for the cordial relationship that exists between us.
“I must confess to you, throughout the federation, the Ministry has the most resourceful relationship with Oyo State, the way we relate together is totally different from other States.
“The Liaison Office is always proactive each time we call on them and their response is always fast.
“Sir, we would like to sustain such a relationship in your time.”
Upon his official resumption of office according to the Director-General, Hon Ezekiel Temitope, all pending activities and requests from Oyo State were all approved within twenty-four hours by the Ministry without further delay.
The Ministry further assured that going forward, whatever that will be coming from the Liaison Office will be given priority.
