The friends, family, and business associates of Chief (Engr) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, ICAST Schools, and TNL Drilling Services, have urged him not to enter politics. A business partner, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed concern over recent visits by groups and associations encouraging Sanusi to run for Oyo State Governor in 2027. The partner warned that politicians often deceive and exploit.
Speaking on Sanusi’s philanthropic activities, he noted that while Sanusi is committed to community development and helping others, politics is a different realm. The partner stated they would only support Sanusi’s political aspirations if guaranteed not to be deceived; otherwise, they prefer he stays out of politics.
Another friend and associate, also wishing to remain anonymous, voiced concerns that Sanusi’s involvement in politics could hinder their collaborative efforts. They emphasized the need for a clear picture of the political landscape before any support could be considered.
A close family member, also speaking anonymously on behalf of the Sanusi family, echoed these sentiments, expressing displeasure at the public endorsements urging Jubril Dotun Sanusi to run for governor.
