In a remarkable show of compassion and commitment to grassroots empowerment, the First Lady of Ona Ara Local Government, Deaconess Oluwabunmi Kolapo JP, has extended financial assistance to over 100 women, providing cash support worth millions of naira.
According to a statement released from the Office of the Executive Chairman, the empowerment initiative took place during the official flag-off ceremony of the Modern Registry and Multipurpose Hall project under the leadership of Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, held last week.
The gesture, aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs and small-scale traders across the local government, underscores Deaconess Kolapo’s unwavering dedication to uplifting families and improving economic conditions within Ona Ara communities.
While presenting the cash support to the beneficiaries, Deaconess Oluwabunmi Kolapo JP urged them to use the funds judiciously to strengthen their businesses and contribute meaningfully to community development. She also called on the beneficiaries to remain prayerful and supportive of the Governor Seyi Makinde-led Oyo State Government and the Ona Ara Local Government administration under her husband, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS, for their continuous strides in grassroots development and women empowerment.
Others at the event are the wife of the Leader of the House, Mrs. Abolade Yerima, wife of the Councillors, Iyaloja of Ona Ara, PDP Ona Ara women Leaders among others.
The beneficiaries, in turn, expressed profound gratitude to the First Lady for her kindness and pledged to make judicious use of the support to improve their livelihoods and contribute to local economic growth.
