The Oke Ogun Indigenous Youth Group, through her President, Comrade Ojedokun Jonathan has penned an open proposal to the Executive Chairmen of the 10 Local Government Areas in Oke Ogun Zone of the State.

Here is the proposal:
Dear Executive chairmen of the 10 Local Governments of Oke-Ogun region of Oyo State, I salute all of you.
I like to start by saying that to serve one’s father’s land is not by power, but by grace.* The position God has given to each you is a privilege to serve the people, but it is also a test to see if you will serve the people as you have pledged during the Oath-taken exercise with either the Bible or the Qur’an.
So, each of you should work hard to make sure you write great history during your Tenure as the Chairman of your Local Government.
On behalf of Oke-Ogun indigenous Youths SOLIDARITY FORUM that I have the privilege to lead, I like to say that I appreciate everyone of you for the contribution you have started to make in your local government and I pray that every one of you will end well.
*But, one important step that our association will want each of you to take is to establish relevant small-scale industries in your Local Government where the young people will be able to deploy their God-given potentials thereby creating jobs for some of them.
Each of you should look at what can be converted into business in your local area and mobilise people to building businesses around it. Agribusiness is a common endowment to all Oke-Ogun region and *we suggest that each of our Chairmen of Local Government should encourage the young ones back to the farm – this time mechanised farming.*
Our young people can be mobilised into animal husbandry and and poultry. They can be mobilised into agrarian farming and food production.
Finally, our association will appreciate it if each Local Government can take youth empowerment and development serious because the youths of today are the leaders of tomorrow. It is the duty and responsibility of the government, begining with the Local Government,* to plan a good life both for today and for the future in favour of the youth generation.
Oke-Ogun Indigenous Youth Solidarity Forum shall always be ready and willing to collaborate with all the 10 Local Governments to achieve success on this venture.
While we expect a positive feedback on this proposal from each of our chairmen, I like to thank you all in anticipation of your consideration and cooperation.
