Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has extended warm greetings to Muslims nationwide on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir. He emphasized the importance of upholding the sterling virtues of Islam, particularly tolerance, during the celebrations.
In a statement personally signed and released in Ibadan on Saturday, Chief Jubril Sanusi commemorated Eid-El-Kabir by urging Muslims across the nation to imbibe the noble virtues of Islam, which include peace, piety, perseverance, philanthropy, respect, tolerance, and love for one another.
“Eid-El-Kabir should serve as an auspicious moment for reflecting on the essence of life and being real brothers’ keepers,” Chief Sanusi stated. He noted that Eid-El-Kabir is a rare opportunity afforded by the Almighty Allah, and a time for intense worship, absolute piety, and compassion for one another.
Chief Sanusi further stressed the need for total supplication to the will of the Almighty Allah to ensure His blessings and favor. He highlighted the importance of thanking God for the blessing and honor of being alive to witness the celebration, emphasizing that the season is an invaluable opportunity and none should discard the lessons learned from it.
Chief Sanusi appealed to Nigerian Muslims to use the period of Sallah celebrations to offer fervent prayers for sustainable peace, unity, and socioeconomic prosperity of the nation. He also called for prayers for divine, plausible solutions to the recurring security challenges in the nation and for the peaceful coexistence of all citizens.
