The Oyo State House of Assembly is set to conduct a comprehensive investigation on the extra Judicial killing of innocent citizen at Iwere – Ile in Iwajowa Local Government area of the State by the suspected men of Nigeria Customs Service.
The House made the decision as part of the resolves on Matter of Ugent Public Importance movedh by Hon. Anthony Ogunsola representing Iwajowa State Contituency on a call for serious result oriented investigation to curb the killings of innocent citizens by Men of the Nigeria Customs Service and check their persistent Nefarious act in various border Communities.
While presenting the motion, Hon. Ogunsola stated that the barbaric act of extra judicial killing in Oke Ogun area recently claimed live of an innocent citizen, Olanrewaju Quadri and left many with various degrees of injuries.
He added that the pathetic similar incident had happened in many communities such as Iseyin, Igangan, Igboora, Ayete and Tapa where many people experienced brutal murdered by men of the Nigerian Customs, added that there is need for urgent intervention of the concerned authorities to lay the alarming and disheartening activities of this operatives to rest.
In his ruling, the Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin who presided over the plenary urged the Ad – Hoc Committee to liase with the Nigerian Customs Service and investigate the incident appropriately.
