Respected All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East Federal Constituency, Chief Oluwole Akinwale, has joined the chorus of felicitations pouring in from across Ibadanland to celebrate the 90th birthday of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin.
Chief Akinwale, the Mogaji of Mato Royal Family and Chief Executive Officer of Niche Global Multi Services & Investment and the Niche Development Foundation, described the Olubadan’s reign as “a blessing marked by peace, stability, and visionary leadership.”
In his congratulatory message, Chief Akinwale paid glowing tribute to the revered monarch, highlighting his wisdom, fatherly leadership, and commitment to unity and progress in Ibadanland.
“Today, we are not only celebrating a 90th birthday, but honouring a symbol of peace, cultural pride, and royal excellence. Kabiyesi’s reign continues to inspire hope and strengthen the fabric of our traditional institutions,” Akinwale said.
He emphasized that the Olubadan’s unwavering devotion to the preservation of Ibadan’s cultural values and the chieftaincy system has provided a model of stability and continuity for other traditional institutions across Yorubaland.
Chief Akinwale further reiterated his belief in the importance of aligning traditional leadership with modern democratic governance. He stated that, if elected in 2027, his legislative agenda would include programs that empower youths, foster community-based development, and create synergy between grassroots leadership and national policy.
“Our traditional institutions are the custodians of our identity. I strongly believe that by working closely with them, we can drive sustainable development and preserve our cultural heritage,” he added.
As Ibadan marks this historic birthday with fanfare, prayers, and cultural festivities, Chief Akinwale offered heartfelt prayers for the monarch’s continued good health, divine wisdom, and enduring legacy.
“May the Almighty continue to grant Kabiyesi a peaceful reign, filled with strength, grace, and the joy of seeing Ibadanland prosper,” he concluded.
